Alerting

Alerting is a crucial aspect of any Infrastructure monitoring system as issues often must be resolved quickly when they are detected.

InfraSonar rules can easily be configured to alert you using SMS, WhatsApp, email, and voice.

SMS

SMS alerts are easy to setup and work with any mobile phone without needing additional accounts and apps. You can even use your good old Nokia 3210.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that is used by millions of people worldwide. It is a convenient mode of communication for sending alerts. It is a reliable way of sending alerts as it is delivered instantly. WhatsApp alerts can be used for emergency alerts, notifications, and other important information.

Email

Email alerts are great for alerts that are importent but not immediately urgent as we tend to read email multiple times a day and act at that time.

Voice

As urgent notifications might get lost in the flood of in-app notifications we already receive daily, using voice calls can ensure urgent notifications to get through minimizing the risk of notifications getting missed.

Most mobile phones allow the configuration for curtain numbers to bypass not-disturb ensuring the alert gets noticed.

Taking a voice call while being in the middle of something is also socially more accepted then looking at your screen to read messages. Last but not least voice calls can even be accepted handsfree while driving without looking at your screen.
